Frequently Asked Questions

What is a baby planner?

A baby planner is similar to a wedding planner except instead of helping couples plan for their wedding, a baby planner helps couples plan for the birth or the adoption of their baby or babies.  The services range from antenatal classes and activities to nursery design to post natal administration.

Are baby planners affiliated to a professional body?

Many professional baby planners belong to the International Baby Planner Association (www.internationalbabyplanners.com).

What does a baby planner do that an expectant parent can’t?

A baby planner has the time to deeply research all possible options and present the results in a concise format enabling the expectant parent to make an easy informed decision. There is a lot of incorrect or biased information out there and a baby planner has the experience and know how to put that information aside. Additionally a baby planner can be an effective communication intermediary between the expectant parents and the friends and relatives by managing tasks parents often find delicate or time consuming such as gift lifts. Once the baby is here, tiredness and lack of time can mean certain tasks are either left aside or rushed. A baby planner can help ensure that all needs and duties are attended to but also that every decision is given the correct amount of reflection.
